Coaches

Laurel Liberty:  Coach Laurel started swimming with Libertyville Masters in 2004 and started coaching in 2008. Coach Laurel is the Age Group coach at the Lake Forest Swim Club where she has guided swimmers to the ISI Regional Championships and to the ISI JO Championships. She recently started started working with the USA National team. In 2010 she went with the Junior Pan Pacific team and most recently was on the 2011 Open Water World Championship team staff.

Laurel swam for Libertyville High School and went on to graduate from North Central College where she was a NCAA All-America swimmer. Since then she has won 4 USMS National titles in the 1500 Freestyle, 200 Freestyle and 1000 Freestyle (2 time champion). In 2009 Coach Laurel finished her Masters degree in Education at DePaul University. She also volunteers on the ILMSA coaches committee, USMS coaches committee and the USA Swimming Sports Medicine committee.

 
Catie Scott: Catie started coaching with Libertyville Masters in 2009. She is an avid triathlete competing in sprint distances all the way through a Half Iron Man. Catie's been swimming her entire life, she swam for Libertyville High School and continued on to swim at Butler University. Some of her swimming accomplishments include being a finalist at the IHSSA Meet, USA Jr. National Qualitifier, and a US Open Qualifier.

Catie has a degree in Biology and currently works at Takeda Global Research & Development Center in Clinical Research. In her spare time you may find her leading swimmers on kayak adventures, bike rides, and other activities.
